I also love high-res images. I first found The Big Picture two years ago when they posted a gallery of some of the most amazing images I'd ever seen from the Beijing Opening Ceremonies. I was astounded at the resolution, clarity and the fact that they eschewed nasty click-generating slideshow formats that are a terrible viewing experience.

Now that I'd seen what actual AP/Getty images could look like when they weren't cropped or shrunk to a width of 150, I was dying for access to them.

And then I got it.

I don't know if anyone else cares like I do, but I figured I'd share. This post probably won't be around forever, I'm thinking until the end of the week. So snag 'em and run.
There will be clear bias and personal preferene in which images I choose to post. (All have their original captions, but I started renaming files... and then got lazy when I started DLing in scores. Heh.) These are also not small files!
